![]() While protagonist of both the anime show a lot of promise in their sports there reason for taking the sports will impact the way you watch these anime. In SD most of development and focus is on MC. In HHWS there is a lot off character development for MC as well as for side characters. ![]() There are few things that make HHWS stand out versus SD Such as character development, an interesting plot, and Inspirational story. No bird nest unfortunately.Hungry Heart: Wild Striker(HHWS) is faster version of Slam Dunk(SD) and does it in less number of Episodes. More likely, the 2nd season in the anime was mostly filler. I think the entire second half seem to be skipped in the manga. You also see a picture of Kanou and Seisuke both wearing the Japanese national uniform towards the end of volume 6. After that, it's said they lost against Tenryu (not shown), but then it says they won against Tenryu the following year. By the way, important detail, they win their match against Kokuryo. It's just not a one to one adaptation like Captain Tsubasa 2018.Īnyway, I think I have to read it again. The anime wasn't a direct adaptation of the manga from what I remember, but still told a similar story with the same characters. You have to remember they were devised as two separate series running concurrently. I know that a lot of anime characters aren't present in the manga. It seems like they're playing against Kokuryo in the final match, and not Tenryu. Honestly it's been so long I read it I don't remember the details. They show Kanou in Ajax and Seisuke in Milan on like one page.
